The York Centre provides a range of psycho-social services for children, youth and families who live in the Region of York. Services are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team based upon an holistic approach to social, emotional, academic and familial needs.

We will be a leader in providing timely and individualized mental health services to best meet the needs of children, youth and families in York Region

Our Mission

To meet the mental health needs of children, youth and families of York Region, The York Centre will provide a range of preventative, therapeutic and educational interventions developed in partnership with families and community resources.

The Centre is a not for profit organization providing service to residents in the Regional Municipality of York.

The York Centre is:

  • governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who represent the community
  • approved under the Child and Family Services Act
  • a member of Children's Mental Health Ontario

York Centre receives funding from The Ministry of Children and Youth Services, The United Way of York Region, and accepts tax-deductible donations. Annual fund raising activities help meet expenses. There are no fees to clients. However, donations for some services are accepted.

Services are available for residents of York Region throughout the calendar year. Some services are provided at community locations and we also meet with families in their home.
